Lampas. The decoration is a textile interpretation of the typical effects of the marbled paper, which was imported from Persia by Venetian merchants from the sixteenth century. The variety of colour changes, typical of the originals, is skilfully reconstructed here with the mixing and interlacing of the weaves. The jacquard technique creates an elegant peacock effect, in a lively play on shades. The result is a series of colour notes, light and dark, shiny and matte, which are composed symmetrically in sleek and dainty shapes.
